The Corporate Controller will oversee accounting operations across the client’s investment and operating entities. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, timely close processes, and strong internal controls. The Controller will work closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to support financial planning, operational insights, and decision-making.
This position blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a multi-entity environment and is well-suited for someone who enjoys owning the function, improving processes, and being a key resource for leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entities
- Prepare, review, and analyze GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payables and receivables
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems and workflows to support business needs
- Coordinate with third-party partners and external vendors to ensure consistent reporting and payment processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to support operational and investment decision-making
- Assist with entity-level accounting, including intercompany activity and reporting requirements
- Partner with external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors to support audit and compliance initiatives
- Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to ownership and senior leadership
- 4–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience in real estate, private equity, or commercial investment environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience with Quick Books required (or comparable accounting systems)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across multiple entities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator with a collaborative and proactive work style
