Tax Manager

Sage Search Partners has been engaged by a growing CPA firm in the DFW area looking to hire MULTIPLE Tax Managers as they are ramping up for busy season - though, their hours never go above 50 per week (including billable/non-billable!) This is ideal for a SALT Tax Manager that would like to learn the Federal side and/or for the Federal Tax Manager that wants to join an organization that values collaboration and not solely focused on a siloed approach to Tax.

Our client is hiring a hands-on Tax Manager to join a modern, team-based CPA firm that operates more like managed services than traditional public accounting. No silos, no selling—just high-quality work and strong collaboration.

• Manage and execute complex tax work (partnerships, S corps, C corps, multi-entity, HNW)
• Prep + review returns (not a review-only role)
• Work closely with Ops, RPs, and advisory in structured pods
• Lead through coaching, clarity, and low-ego collaboration
• Communicate technical issues simply and professionally

• Corporate-style firm (not partner-territory model)
• Rotation-based client delivery for load balancing & quality
• Strong support from a 25-person internal MSP
• Hybrid:
  Mon–Tue in office, Wed–Fri remote
• Onboarding: 4–5 days/week in office for ~6 weeks
• Bonuses tied to firm performance + profit pool
