Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting & Finance

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will take ownership of financial reporting, accounts payable, billing operations, and compliance support. You will collaborate closely with leadership and other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings.

- Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, adhering to organizational standards.

- Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing financial data and providing actionable insights to leadership.

- Design and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

- Manage the accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approvals, and timely payments.

- Oversee accounts receivable and corporate credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.

- Handle advisory fee calculations and billing processes, maintaining alignment with reporting systems and client agreements.

- Collaborate with client service teams to address billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries effectively.

- Coordinate with external tax firms for filings and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

- Maintain detailed records for equity plans, partner capital accounts, and ownership changes. Requirements - Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger systems, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes, including corporate credit card management.

- Expertise in billing operations and advisory fee calculations.

- Ability to ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory standards.

- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, particularly with cross-functional teams.
