LHH is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support a well‑established, privately held real estate investment firm with a diversified portfolio of industrial assets. This organization is an owner‑operator with a long‑standing presence in the U.S. real estate market and manages assets on behalf of institutional investors. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on property accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assets in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
This role offers direct exposure to asset‑level accounting, close interaction with property management and internal finance teams, and the opportunity to support a sizable industrial portfolio.
- Perform bank account reconciliations and initiate cash transfers and payment wires
- Prepare monthly property‑level accruals and maintain amortization schedules
- Produce monthly property financial reports and supporting schedules
- Manage year‑end accruals and assist with audit‑related requests
- Review and analyze property general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
- Partner closely with property management teams on financial matters
- Calculate and prepare monthly management fees
- Respond to ad hoc requests from internal portfolio and finance teams
- Assist with onboarding new property assignments
- Certify rent rolls and ensure rent payments are posted accurately and on time
- Maintain multiple basis general ledgers across a portfolio of 25+ assets
- Support additional accounting and finance initiatives as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Prior experience in property accounting or real‑estate/property management required
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Advanced Excel and data management capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
