The MissionYou will be the backbone of the general ledger operations, managing the daily workflow and ensuring accuracy and compliance for our financial reporting. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will be a key support resource for management within the broader Accounting/Finance team.
What You'll Be Doing (The Fun Stuff)- Financial Detective: Perform in-depth month- and year-end analysis, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts. You'll use your understanding of business conditions to ensure financial statements strictly adhere to GAAP.
- Team Captain: Guide and oversee a dedicated accounting staff, assigning projects and providing direction to guarantee timely and accurate deliverables.
- Reconciliation Ace: Handle complex balance sheet reconciliations and detailed income statement analysis.
- Financial Architect: Prepare, record, and summarize asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Process Innovator: Dive deep into existing accounting processes to identify root causes of issues and propose exciting areas for improvement.
- Strategic Collaborator: Coordinate complex accounting projects with other finance and departmental teams.
- Technical Guru: Research and resolve technical accounting issues, working with leadership to develop solid solutions.
Hybrid schedule - 3 days in office and 2 WFH
Your Core Strengths & Experience- Foundation: A Bachelor's degree with a focus on Accounting OR 5–10 years of experience in finance.

Experience:
4+ years of professional experience in an accounting environment is preferred. - The Gold Standard (Preferred): Possession of a CPA certificate is a big plus!
- Toolbox Mastery: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Communication: Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
