Job Title: Assistant Corporate Controller

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and coordinates financial reports and analyses for upper management.
  • Assists the Finance team with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Manages all aspects of the general ledger and ensures timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Ensures all accounting practices comply with legal requirements and established accounting principles.
  • Assists with billing processes and the preparation of tax documentation.
  • Collaborates with the finance team to develop and maintain internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
  • Serves as a liaison with external auditors and supports audit preparation and documentation.
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies in financial records.
  • Provides support to the Controller, and CFO with additional duties as assigned.

  • Expert knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of governmental guidelines and applicable tax laws.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Skilled in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficient in standard office and accounting software programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar financial role.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification preferred.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle).
APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS

Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.
