We are looking for a GL Manager to join our team. In this role you will manage an accounting staff, prepare and analyze journal entries, perform month and year‑end closings, prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and support warehouse branches. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and will provide support to the Accounting/Finance team management.

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the General Ledger department
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Perform month/year‑end financial analysis of actual results against budget/forecast and understand business conditions to ensure financial statements are reported in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Complete complex balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis
• Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
• Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
• Demonstrate an understanding of various accounting processes and identify root causes/areas for improvement
• Research technical accounting issues and work with management on solutions
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or at least 5‑10 years’ experience in finance

• CPA certificate
• 4+ years’ experience in an accounting environment
• Strong organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self‑starter who takes initiative and demonstrates ownership until work is completed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15 lbs
• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
