Controller – Leadership Role with CFO Pathway

Location:

(Hybrid – 5 days on site)

Salary: $200k–$225k + 20% Bonus

We are partnering with a fast-growing, innovative leader in the waste disposal and recycling industry, committed to driving a circular economy by turning waste into value. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic finance team and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial future.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will lead a team of 5 direct and 60-70 indirect reports, overseeing multi-entity, multi-line-of-business financial operations. This role requires a strategic, analytical problem solver who thrives in a complex environment with acquisitions and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial close processes and reduce closing cycle
• Manage financial reporting and analysis across multiple legal entities and business units
• Collaborate with senior executives, board members, rating agencies, and manage public debt relationships
• Drive process improvements and project manage finance initiatives
• Support acquisitions, including integration activities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a sizable finance team

Candidate Profile:

• Proven Controller, Assistant Controller, or VP Finance experience in companies $600M+ revenue
• Strong PE-backed company experience is essential
• CPA designation required; MBA highly preferred
• Expert in managing complex finance organizations with multi-entity and multi-LOB structures
