Assistant Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for the daily activities of the Loan Specialist and assists in overall day-to-day operations for M/I Financial, LLC.

• Review and underwrite FHA, VA, and Conventional loans per underwriting guidelines.
• Ensure operational excellence of all MIFC branch systems, processes, and reports including DU/LP, Underwriting Closed Loan and QC Audit reports, Status reports, Encompass.
• Manage front-end branch loan administration processes to comply with policies and procedures.
• Approve closing packages; problem resolution.
• Supervise and develop a team of loan specialists: monitor workload, quality, performance; staffing and performance management; team and individual training/development.
• Serve as partner/consultant for homebuilding operations team.
• Other duties as required.

• Underwriting experience is required.
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage policies and practices; well versed in FHA/VA/USDA/Conventional Lending.
• Knowledge of financial management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Strong technical skills; proficiency in MS Office.

• Some travel may be required.
