Civil Engineering Intern

Job Type: Internship

The Civil Engineering Intern will assist with engineering work related to roadway, grading, drainage, utility, erosion control, paving, cost estimating, feasibility, residential, industrial, municipal and site development projects.

• Civil design in roadway, grading, drainage, utility and site development projects for both residential and commercial development.
• Assist preparing construction plans, design calculations, specifications, bid documents and cost estimates.
• Learn about relevant design standards and procedures.

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Micro Station software
• Microsoft office software
• Writing emails, letters and memos
• Multi-tasking

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a professional office environment and requires a professional appearance. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee may be required to operate their personal vehicle for company business.

This is a temporary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a specified duration.

Employee may be required to travel to local client and governmental offices as well as visit jobsites.

• 0-4 years of work experience
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
