Job Description

Provide overall strategic governance for projects for multiple major design and construction team projects. May be assigned more complex projects as the primary project manager.

Job Qualifications

Six years of experience in design and construction of major commercial building types and one of the following certifications:
PE - Professional Engineer
RA - Registered Architect
AICP - American Institute of Certified Planners
One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required.

Or

Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering and four years of experience in design and construction of major commercial building types.
One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required.

  • Major Duties

    Facilitate coordination between internal business units, contracting officers, military installation command and engineering, A/E, and construction contractors during design and construction phases of project.
    Ensure all project design and construction documents are completed timely and within established standards to facilitate project completion and close-out.

    Ensure accountability and all regulations, processes, and procedures for all projects are followed. Facilitate use of design software for project design(s).
    Ensure overall project budget studies are developed and reviewed throughout the projects to determine compliance.
    Monitor all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports.
    Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensure that project milestones and department goals are met.
    Use comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
