Job Description

  • Our client is a Dallas based contractor specializing in heavy civil, water, and wastewater infrastructure projects across Texas.
  • They are seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong blend of estimating expertise, project management capability, and field experience.
  • Position Overview
  • The Project Manager will oversee project delivery from pursuit through closeout, ensuring safe, high quality, and cost effective construction.
  • This role requires hands on knowledge of heavy civil and water/wastewater work, as well as the ability to collaborate across estimating, field operations, engineering, and owner teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management
  • Lead projects from contract award through turnover
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Communicate effectively with owners, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders
  • Estimating & Preconstruction
  • Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals for heavy civil and water/wastewater pursuits
  • Participate in bid strategy discussions and value engineering efforts
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Field Coordination
  • Work closely with field superintendents on planning, sequencing, and resource allocation
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
  • Assist with resolving field challenges, design conflicts, and unforeseen conditions
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil and/or water & wastewater construction
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating, project management, and field operations
  • Experience with pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, utilities, or similar infrastructure
  • Strong proficiency with scheduling and project management software
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
