As a member of the Ryan Application Development Team, this position will be a critical contributor to an ambitious strategic initiative with the goal of re-envisioning a broad suite of enterprise level applications. Aiming to create simple and compelling developer and client experiences, the Dev Ops Engineer will be required to design, maintain, and manage infrastructure configuration with the goal of achieving a continuous deployable system while maintaining an exceptional level of service delivery for all our clients.

We are looking for someone that is experienced in building scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure with built-in monitoring for automated system health checks. Candidates will be required to interface directly with technical leads, software architects, other business groups, and key stakeholders demanding exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results

• Support and assist development teams as needed.

Client:

• Proactively provide updates to CI/CD pipelines and tooling around them.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
• Build and maintain production systems ensuring high availability and scalability.

• Oversee routine maintenance procedures and perform diagnostic tests.
• Submit recommendations to application development teams for upgrades and enhancements.
• Contribute to efficiency improvements through process automation
• Document and maintain system design and functions
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent related work experience. Three or more years of practical applications development experience in a Dev Ops or System Engineer capacity.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, Azure Dev Ops, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server - Availability Groups, scripting (Python, Power Shell), automation (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, etc.), and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

• Standard indoor working environment.
• Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
• Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary.
• Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.

Compensation:

• For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $96,000.00 - $
• For other California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $88,000.00 - $
• For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $84,000.00 - $
• For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $88,000.00 - $
• For other Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $84,000.00 - $
• For New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $96,000.00 - $
• For other New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $80,000.00 - $
• For Washington based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $88,000.00 - $
