ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct geological field investigations, including mapping, sampling, and logging.
- Analyze rock, soil, groundwater, and geophysical data
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and cross-sections
- Support mineral, energy, or environmental exploration projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Perform various field activities on geotechnical projects including, but not limited to, pile load testing, field electrical resistivity testing, and soil logging.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of pile load testing (PLT) procedure.
- Communicate with members of the team on project progress and issues that arise.
- Possess strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, pressure and a variety of field conditions.
- Experience with data analysis and technical reporting.
- Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.
Education High school diploma or equivalent required, relevant post-secondary degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field preferred.
Experience and/or Training Two years’ related experience
Licenses/Certificates Driver’s license
Technology/Equipment Microsoft Office
WORKING ENVIRONMENTWork/Environment
Will be a combination of office, field and laboratory environments. Often times will be a jobsite environment which can be outside in all weather conditions and/or tightly enclosed areas and can have uneven walking surfaces. May also be using computer, telephone, other office equipment as needed to perform duties; frequent interruptions throughout day likely.
Travel RequirementsPosition requires offsite travel (locally and throughout United States), typically 75% annually.

Compensation Range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00
