Data Engineer

Short List Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to be a key part of a growing Financial Services organization.

The Data Engineer role will play a pivotal role in managing complex financial modelling and reporting data, working alongside a talented team of Data Analysts to deliver cutting-edge financial reports. A background in Financial Services is key, as I am looking for someone with an understanding of this type of data.

• Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database structures
• Monitor data pipeline performance and resolve data issues to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Create datasets and data models to support reporting, forecasting, and operational analytics
• Demonstrate experience with SQL, Python, and VBA
• Experience of using data quality controls and validation processes to ensure data integrity

• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design
• Experience with Python and VBA
• Familiarity with data visualization tools
• Experience in Quantitative analysis is a plus

The Data Engineer role is Hybrid 1-2 days per week in Dallas, with a base salary circa $90,000
