We are seeking an experienced Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Lead to manage and optimize our digital delivery processes in the Advanced Manufacturing sector. This site‑based role is flexible with home‑office options. The VDC Lead will provide leadership in VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery, define digital delivery scope for project estimates, coordinate technical setup, model deliverables, and lead clash resolution and BIM execution planning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership by aligning technologies with internal and client goals.
- Define digital delivery scope for project estimates and coordinate project technical setup and model deliverables.
- Create and implement Design and Construction BIM Execution Plans for EPCM projects.
- Integrate VDC tasks including 3D logistics and safety planning, 4D scheduling, 5D cost and quantity take‑offs.
- Manage the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) from design to construction, including Docs, Build, Coordination modules.
- Kick‑off, manage and track progress on Clash Detection for Design Teams and Trade Partners; lead clash resolution meetings.
- Serve as BIM Subject Matter Expert on design and construction projects.
- Coordinate laser scan data integration and facilitate Scan to BIM efforts; manage model redline and as‑built processes; verify construction install with model‑based practices.
- Lead mobile device trainings for field employees; facilitate reality capture, 360 photos, laser scans, drone data; and act as technology lead for field technical troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during business development, proposals, and estimates; manage trade partner modeling efforts and quality through construction.
- Develop training materials; recruit, manage, and mentor employees; coordinate VDC activities with field operations; and own onsite VDC processes.
- At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments in Design and Construction.
- Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven track record of onsite leadership of VDC activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment on a project site and virtually.
- Experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems.
- Willing to work on site at a project near Baton Rouge, LA.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
