Traffic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and contribute to technical studies including Traffic Impact Analyses, Traffic Management Plans, Parking Studies, Master Plans, and related transportation reports.
• Perform traffic operations analysis and modeling using industry software (e.g., Synchro) and analyze traffic data.
• Assist in the design of traffic signals, intersection improvements, roadway lighting, and related transportation infrastructure.
• Coordinate with clients, public agencies, and consultants; attend meetings, site visits, and public hearings as needed.
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client engagement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or ability to obtain Texas licensure within six (6) months.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience practicing as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), including experience in traffic/transportation engineering. Experience gained in land development (including residential projects) will be considered if it involved traffic engineering–related work.
• Proficiency in relevant technical tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Synchro, MS Office) and strong written and verbal communication skills.
