Fire Protection Engineer (Mid–Senior Level)

-based)
We are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering complex commercial, healthcare, mission‑critical, and industrial projects.
This role offers strong project ownership, technical leadership opportunities, and a clear path toward senior/lead‑level responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead fire protection system design from concept through construction
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing
- Design and coordinate sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump, and specialty suppression systems
- Develop construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Conduct code analysis (IBC, IFC, NFPA standards)
- Coordinate with MEP teams, architects, and contractors
- Support construction administration and respond to RFIs
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to technical standards
- 5+ years of fire protection engineering or design experience
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and life safety standards
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, multifamily, industrial, or data center projects
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- NICET certification (II–IV) preferred for designer‑track candidates
- PE license or EIT strongly preferred for engineering‑track candidates
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- High‑visibility projects
