A Global Operations Controls Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing building and process control systems within Equinix facilities. Effectively interacts with other internal and external teams, including the design engineering, site engineering, regional operations teams, onsite support vendors and consultants on projects, policies and procedures within a moderate scope.

• Onboard asset/point/alarm configurations and validate data quality within the Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system. Resolve issues with cross‑functional teams
• Review and implement the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) calculations with cross‑functional teams
• Implement new configuration and validate dataflow for power circuits within the Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM) system
• Review electrical schematics and documentation to create electrical hierarchies within the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system
• Assist in training internal teams on DCIM/BCM/PUE/WUE implementation processes

• Proven years in control system design, operations, maintenance, and project planning with an emphasis and special focus on controls preferred
• Experience in critical facility environment preferred, including operations and design
• Basic understanding of typical controls, electrical, fire protection, and HVAC system operation
• Troubleshooting experience with the elements of the controls system, including field devices, controllers, network components and software systems
• Strong knowledge of the BACnet, Modbus and OPC communications protocols including protocol definition, implementation strategies, and troubleshooting
• Experience with one or more brands of controls systems including:
  Siemens, Automated Logic Corporation (ALC), Johnson Controls, Rockwell Controllogix, Metasys, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, Delta‑V, Andover, or Aveva System Platform
• Experience with data collection and conversion software such as Kepware, Top Server, Matricon, Top View, OSISoft Pi or equivalent
• Able to understand control strategies and architecture using Sequence of Operation and P& or equivalent

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 80, USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 73, CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full‑time position determined by role, level, and location.
The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
