Overview
The Workplace Design & Services (WDS) department plays a critical role in ensuring DTCC’s facilities operate smoothly and safely. It manages essential infrastructure such as electrical systems, HVAC for climate control, plumbing, and fire protection to maintain continuous availability for business operations. WDS also oversees space planning and design, including floor plans and occupancy data, and coordinates relocations and furniture setups.
Additionally, the team provides janitorial services and enforces health and safety standards, integrating these functions to create a secure, efficient, and comfortable work environment that supports DTCC’s mission-critical systems and evolving organizational needs.
Being a member of the Workplace Design & Services Team, the Lead Data Center Engineer oversees and manages critical infrastructure operations at our properties. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in facilities maintenance, critical systems, and vendor management. The successful candidate will leverage their background in HVAC, UPS systems, electrical maintenance, and project management to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our critical cooling infrastructure.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Support space planning, analyzing space needs and managing moves.
- Oversee the operations, maintenance and testing of building plumbing, UPS, HVAC, emergency generators, electrical and fire detection/suppress ions systems
- Assist and co-ordinate the management and execution of OPEX and CAPEX projects
- Support Health & Safety as required including workplace risk assessments
- 24/7 response to emergency situations relating to employees and/or facilities

- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Proficient in HVAC, electrical systems, fire and life safety, and PLC/IO diagnostics.
- Experience with CMMS, BAS, and technical documentation.
- Certified in SPCC, OSHA 10 with Arc Flash, ISO 50001/14001 preferred.
- Strong skills in vendor management, incident management, financial management, and system integration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and technical reporting tools.
