We are seeking a Project Expeditor to support capital project execution by helping track, coordinate, and expedite critical equipment and materials. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who wants hands-on exposure to large industrial projects and the chance to build a strong foundation in procurement, logistics, and project coordination.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced project controls, procurement, engineering, and construction teams to help ensure materials and equipment arrive on time and align with project schedules. You will gain visibility into EPC workflows, supplier management, and capital project execution while developing practical, in-demand skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Track the status of equipment and material orders against project schedules
- Follow up with vendors and internal teams to confirm order progress and delivery dates
- Maintain logs, trackers, and basic reports related to materials, equipment, and delivery status
- Assist procurement and project teams with expediting activities and documentation
- Support issue resolution related to late deliveries, shortages, or damaged materials by escalating items to the appropriate teams
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to confirm receipts and deliveries
- Help keep project teams informed by sharing accurate and timely status updates
- Support continuous improvement of tracking tools and reporting processes
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, construction management, or a related field
- Internship, co-op, or 1–3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, project coordination, construction, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Exposure to EPC projects, capital projects, or industrial operations is a plus, but not required
Skills and Attributes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable communicating with internal teams and external vendors
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative in a fast-paced project environment
- Ability to adapt as priorities evolve and processes continue to mature
