Job DescriptionAECOM seeks an experienced Senior Transmission Permitting Specialist to assess and permit power transmission systems in compliance with NEPA. The role supports renewable energy, transportation, and other energy projects, engages multiple agencies, and drives business growth across Texas.
Location: Hybrid – Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, or Baton Rouge offices.
Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
- Deliver assigned revenues from specific clients through repeat business and flawless project execution.
- Lead and participate in key pursuits and wins for the team, office, and region.
- Consistently achieve planned profit margins.
- Complete projects without write‑downs or multiplier erosion.
- Manage projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
- Support and mentor team members on multiple projects or program assignments.
- Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, environmental planning, natural resource management, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience managing permitting and environmental impact analysis for high‑voltage transmission lines, renewables, and linear infrastructure.
- Ability to travel for agency/client meetings and field work.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience in permitting and environmental analysis for transmission lines, renewables, and linear infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Texas and other state regulatory requirements, including PUC, ESA, and CWA.
- Staff management experience with a proven record in proposal development and bid wins.
- Strong client relationship building and project delivery skills.
- Experience with environmental permitting, NEPA, public engagement, and agency interactions.
- Mentoring staff and managing interdisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced consulting environment.

- Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 per year, based on education, experience, and location.
