Overview
GIS Technician role is a company where employee-owners are engaged in creating an inclusive environment and empowering authentic contributions.
Responsibilities- Conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS
- Create and configure web maps and ArcGIS Online applications
- Perform data input and editing of spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment
- Follow documented technical procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Strong background in Python, specifically Arc Py and ArcGIS API
- Experience with other spatial or data visualization software is a plus
- Associate’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Apps
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team
- Good written and oral communication skills a plus
