Overview

GIS Technician role  is a company where employee-owners are engaged in creating an inclusive environment and empowering authentic contributions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS
  • Create and configure web maps and ArcGIS Online applications
  • Perform data input and editing of spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment
  • Follow documented technical procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong background in Python, specifically Arc Py and ArcGIS API
  • Experience with other spatial or data visualization software is a plus
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Apps
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team
  • Good written and oral communication skills a plus
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
