About the RoleOur Central Region Environmental businesses in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Houston, Texas are looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join their team. In this role, you will contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects. This role can be based on either Baton Rouge, LA or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities- Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications
- Coordinate and implement project permitting
- Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations
- Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
- Management of clients
- Development of business opportunities
- Mentorship of staff
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
- PE or PG will be highly regarded
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
- Project experience in federal contracts beneficial
- Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Ability work in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel client meetings is required
Salary: $86,600.00 - $, varies based on experience and location.

- Paid time off – Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service
- Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
