We are currently looking to hire a Project Engineer for our client, a global leader in industrial materials whose products are essential to the low‑carbon technologies powering the modern economy. From electric vehicles to wind turbines, their materials play a vital role in building a more sustainable future.
This role is well suited for an experienced Project Engineer who has supported or led capital projects through the full project lifecycle. As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing projects from early design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and close‑out. You will work closely with engineering, operations, contractors, and equipment suppliers to deliver complex industrial projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
What You’ll Do:- Execute assigned capital projects across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover phases
- Coordinate technical scope, schedules, and interfaces across internal teams, contractors, and OEMs
- Identify project risks, manage changes, and support mitigation strategies related to cost, schedule, and technical scope
- Review and manage scope changes, including technical evaluations and cost and schedule impacts
- Maintain project documentation including schedules, cost trackers, RFIs, submittals, and technical records
- Support contractor selection, bid evaluations, and vendor coordination
- Participate in early project development activities such as feasibility studies, equipment selection, constructability reviews, and cost and timeline estimates
- Support commissioning, startup, and handover to operations, ensuring lessons learned are captured
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering or capital project execution within industrial, manufacturing, energy, mining, or heavy process environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects from concept or FEED through construction and commissioning
- Strong technical capability with the ability to review drawings, specifications, and equipment packages
- Working knowledge of cost control, scheduling, change management, and contractor coordination
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally in fast‑paced project environments
