Apollo Technical Has an immediate need for a Design Engineer in the DFW area. Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to take full ownership of assigned projects and deliver complete submittal packages for BMS/DDC controls projects. Deliverables include control drawings, floor plans with device locations, device flow diagrams showing field wiring landing points, network architecture diagrams, bills of materials, schedules, and product data-prepared to GC/client standards. Works independently with minimal oversight and meets aggressive deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Project Ownership:
Drive assigned project from design kickoff through submittal completion. - Submittal Creation:
Produce full submittal packages including:- Control drawings and schematics
- Floor plans with device locations
- Device flow diagrams identifying field wiring landing points
- Network architecture diagrams
- Bill of materials and equipment schedules
- Product data sheets
- Coordination:
- Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) and retrieve current specs/drawings via GC platforms (Procore/Autodesk).
- Coordinate with Field/Construction teams, Programming/Integrations, and Vendors/Manufacturers as needed for product data and points lists.
- Quality Assurance:
Incorporate design changes/redlines and GC/client comments; ensure internal standards and project requirements are met prior to release. - Timely Delivery:
Plan and manage issue/revision schedules to hit release dates.
- 5+ years BMS/DDC design engineering experience (data centers or large-scale facilities preferred).
- Advanced AutoCAD for M/E coordination, device layout, and clear diagramming.
- Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft 365 workflows.
- Ability to create detailed sequences of operation for HVAC and control systems.
- Knowledge of Delta DDC controls.
- PLC experience (Allen-Bradley).
