Snapshot / Role Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Dallas, TX to lead takeoffs and pricing for large commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.
Impact- Deliver accurate, competitive estimates for high-value jobs
- Help win complex projects across healthcare, education, tech, and more
- Support preconstruction with clear, detailed cost data
- Be a go-to expert for estimating mechanical scopes
- Perform takeoffs using software like Fast Pipe, Fast Duct, Trimble, or Auto Bid
- Review drawings and specs to scope HVAC, piping, and plumbing
- Price large mechanical projects ($5M–$50M) across commercial sectors
- Coordinate with project teams on bid strategy and handoff
- Track budgets, proposals, and estimating data
- Assist with value engineering and proposal reviews
- Must-Haves: Local to Dallas with a solid, stable work history
- Must-Haves: 5+ years of commercial mechanical estimating experience
- Must-Haves: Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
- Must-Haves: Proficient with takeoff tools (Fast Pipe, Quick Pen, Trimble, etc.)
- Must-Haves: Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field experience
- Nice-to-Haves: Experience with large projects: hospitals, schools, data centers, labs, arenas, fabs
- Nice-to-Haves: Familiar with Viewpoint, Maxwell, or similar estimating platforms
- Nice-to-Haves: Past hands‑on field experience (duct, piping, or plumbing)
