Electrical Engineer – Redolent, Dallas, TX, United States

The primary job responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer include designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems for small robots and other ground‑based vehicles according to customer requirements. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs. Contributes to research efforts to develop solutions or new products. Reports to a manager and works with a Tech Lead. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.

Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in EDA tools.
  • Proficient skills with analog/digital circuit design.
  • Lead DFMEA process.
  • Proficient in functional safety analysis.
  • Leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, and guiding other engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent.
  • Experience/understanding of circuit design.
  • Proficient in the use of test tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Design, test, and determine fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
  • Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
  • Ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Maintain a regular study habit by frequently reviewing emerging technologies that improve design, development, and testing of software programming and applications, and apply learned technologies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the technical area of specialization.

Physical Demands
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit; use and regularly required to walk, stand, and bend in the performance of daily responsibilities.
  • Occasionally required to stand, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must frequently use hands to handle or feel.
Work Environment

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
