About the Role

TEKsystems is hiring an experienced AV Field Engineer / Service Technician to support a top-tier AV integration company with a national presence
. This role is ideal for a network-savvy AV engineer who wants to grow into programming and advanced system configuration
. You’ll provide on-site service and support for enterprise-grade audiovisual systems at corporate client locations, troubleshooting and maintaining complex AV technologies in executive boardrooms, conference centers, and other enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of AV systems and components at client sites.
• Service and maintain custom control systems:
  Crestron DM/NVX, AMX.
• Service and maintain audio DSP platforms:
  Biamp, QSC, Dante Audio.
• Service and maintain complex AV systems:
  Executive boardrooms, conference centers.
• Service and maintain video teleconferencing systems.
• Service and maintain AV‑over‑IP networks: LAN/WAN/internet for AV data.
• Service and maintain projection displays, video walls, digital signage.
• Service and maintain audio systems: amplifiers, speakers, microphones.
• Service and maintain RF systems (analog and digital) to a lesser degree.
• Conduct preventive maintenance testing and site surveys for service agreements.
• Write concise service reports and system site surveys.
• Manage multiple service projects and mentor junior/intermediate technicians.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Ability to download, modify, and upload programming using Crestron Toolbox for control systems.
• Ability to download, modify, and upload programming using Biamp and QSC platforms for audio DSPs.
• Strong understanding of signal flow, AV networking fundamentals, and system integration.
• Must know how to troubleshoot AV systems both on the software side and the networking side (IP addressing, VLANs, Dante audio networking, control system connectivity).

• Ability to manage client expectations and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Travel Requirements

• Work will involve travel within your local market (DFW area) to support client sites.
• Candidates should expect daily travel between locations , but return home each night

• A personal vehicle is required;
  travel‑related expenses will be covered

Education & Experience

• Two‑year diploma from a technical college or equivalent experience.
• CTS certification highly preferred
  , or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of field service experience in AV systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $57.00/hr.
