Electrical Engineer – Dallas, TX
Base pay range
: $ – $ per year (provided by Keen Search & Staffing, LLC).
DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
—This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Our client seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer with seven to twelve years of consulting engineering experience. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of challenging projects, support our electrical engineering group, and partner with other disciplines across the firm.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Knowledge of local codes and standards (preferred)
- Experience with local contractors, architects, and construction practices (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting system design for diverse building types
- Experience with medium‑voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems (preferred)
- Must have SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software experience
- Experience focused on the power industry, including design of industrial, higher education, healthcare, and/or commercial projects
- Must be familiar with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
- Experience with lighting design (preferred)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design software (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams
- Desire and capability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple disciplines
- Willingness to travel for occasional site visits
- Must be able to work in the office four (4) days a week
