• Define and execute the vision of our next generation mission systems from concept through production
• Build, lead, and mentor a world‑class mission systems engineering team
• Integrate off‑the‑shelf hardware and drive the roadmap for future vertical integration
• Establish and enforce appropriate design processes
• Maintain technical excellence—implement rigorous design processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure system performance meets requirements and design expectations
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Shield’s core teams, such as engineering, production, supply chain, business development, and program management
• Engage with external partners – coordinate with vendors and engineering teams as needed
• Work in a fast‑paced environment

• 10+ years of experience as an Mission Systems Engineer or a related field
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Strong technical fundamentals
• Experience with custom electronics design and system level integration
• Have worked on large platforms, such as aircraft, rockets, satellites, automotive, etc.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
