COMPANY OVERVIEW

HGP Intelligent Energy is an advanced energy infrastructure company pioneering the integration of repurposed naval nuclear reactor technology with next-generation AI data center facilities. Our flagship Core Held Project, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, aims to deploy dual A1B-class naval pressurized water reactors at the Oak Ridge Reservation in Tennessee, delivering approximately 485 MWe of carbon-free baseload power to support America's growing artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure requirements.

HGP is backed by institutional investors and operates under the DOE's accelerated licensing framework, targeting commercial operation within 39 months—dramatically faster than conventional nuclear development timelines. We are assembling a world-class team to execute this first-of-kind project and establish a scalable model for future deployments.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Nuclear Plant Operations & Technical Services is the operational backbone of HGP's engineering organization—the senior technical professional who ensures the Director's vision translates into executed work. This role is ideally suited for a seasoned Navy nuclear Chief Petty Officer or senior enlisted leader who has spent a career making reactor plants run safely and efficiently.

This position owns the day‑to‑day coordination of technical activities: managing schedules, tracking deliverables, coordinating with contractors, maintaining technical documentation, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. While the Director focuses on strategy and stakeholder engagement, this role keeps the trains running on time. The Senior Manager will also serve as the primary technical liaison with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, and site personnel during construction and commissioning.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience operating and maintaining naval reactor plants, understands balance‑of‑plant systems at a deep practical level, and has the organizational skills to manage complex technical programs. This is a working management role—expect to be in the details, solving problems, and making things happen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Program Coordination
  • Serve as the Director's right hand for all technical execution—translating strategic direction into actionable work plans
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction activities
  • Track engineering deliverables, identify schedule risks, and drive resolution of technical issues
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between reactor systems, BOP equipment, and site infrastructure
  • Prepare technical briefing materials for Director's meetings with DOE, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Manage the engineering document control system and maintain configuration management
  • Serve as primary day‑to‑day technical point of contact with EPC contractors, architect‑engineers, and equipment vendors
  • Review contractor submittals, drawings, and technical documents for accuracy and coordinate factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) for major equipment
  • Monitor contractor performance against schedule and quality requirements; escalate issues as needed
  • Support procurement activities including technical specifications, bid evaluations, and coordinate with turbine OEMs, electrical equipment suppliers, and BOP system integrators
Balance‑of‑Plant Technical Support
  • Provide hands‑on technical expertise for BOP systems: steam turbines, generators, condensers, feedwater/condensate systems, and…
