Customer Engineer – Customer Engineering Team
Join Collibra’s Customer Engineering team where you will be the guiding force behind bringing Collibra’s product and vision to customers and prospects. You will establish trusted relationships from day one and serve as a thoughtful technical advisor, responsible for the technical relationship with the customer throughout the entire journey both pre‑ and post‑sale.
Responsibilities- Map solutions to value across large and dynamic organizations, bridging business and technical requirements.
- Participate in discovery and drive qualification of new opportunities.
- Prepare and conduct product demonstrations, highlighting how Collibra’s Platform supports enterprise customers.
- Advising and supporting customers’ technical stakeholders to accelerate Collibra adoption and value realization, acting as the primary point of contact for technical and product queries.
- Identify, evaluate, recommend, and execute value‑based workshops and proofs of concept.
- Build and maintain strong relationships as a reliable technical subject matter expert for existing customers to ensure product adoption, increase satisfaction, and drive renewals.
- 2-3 years in a Sales, Customer Engineering, or Sales Consulting role.
- Good understanding and interest in data management areas such as cataloging, governance, integration, data quality, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience in the data space is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
- Effective communicator.
- Sales‑ and customer‑focused self‑starter with enthusiasm, flexibility, and curiosity.
- A trusted partner to customers, solving complex challenges with thoughtful technical solutions.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working across teams to drive results.
- Confident in delivering knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
- Committed to continuous learning and development, with ability to align business needs with technical capabilities.
- Will travel up to 30% within the region.
- Within the first month, become familiar with Collibra and internal processes.
- By the third month, host discovery calls, conduct basic demos, and present the solution and its value.
- By the fifth month, become a spokesperson for Collibra, educating customers on features, roadmap, and customer‑cycle processes.
The base salary range for this position is $104,000 - $130,000 per year. The role is eligible for additional commission‑based compensation and offers equity ownership, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, and 401(k) plans.
