Your Impact

Our Advanced Solar Journeyman Electricians conduct inspection and corrective maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems, adhering to established procedures and prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance. The Solar Panel Maintenance Technician will be responsible for both internal and external inspection and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and other PV components, and will mentor team members. Day‑to‑day tasks include troubleshooting, testing, and repairing solar panels, handling materials, and assisting with service and maintenance activities for other solar system components and associated equipment.

These positions are local; candidates should reside within 50 miles of the Dallas, Texas area.

Core Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot inverters, combiner boxes, and replace or repair string lines.
  • Perform LOTO, IV Curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.
  • Operate and maintain solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Lead by example in maintaining safety protocols and operating with professionalism.
  • Troubleshoot solar system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Document work logs, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Operate the Pearce motor vehicle safely and legally in compliance with the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
  • Maintain the company vehicle so that it is always clean, presentable, and functional.
Core Experience
  • Must live within approximately 50 miles of the Dallas, Texas area.
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience on commercial and/or utility‑scale solar sites.
  • Experience with electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures; able to apply NFPA 70E/OSHA 10 training.
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components using digital multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
  • Able to test installed equipment, ensuring proper working order including daily mechanical and electrical inspections.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Work possible rotating shifts.
  • Work in indoor or outdoor environments under adverse weather conditions (pollen, dust, grasses).
  • Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
Compensation

$30.00‑$42.00 hourly / DOE

Base Pay Range: $30 – $42 USD.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including skill set, experience level, and location. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem, or other applicable compensation.
