Field Service Tech II

Overview

Position Summary:

The Field Service Technician II position involves a higher level of responsibility in performing and assisting with major component exchanges for wind turbines. You will work more independently than a Technician I, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining wind turbine systems. This role requires a solid understanding of wind turbine operations and mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as a proactive approach to safety.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Lead and assist in major component exchanges including gearboxes, generators, and nacelle components. Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on turbine systems. Perform detailed inspections and preventative maintenance on wind turbines. Lead small teams or mentor Field Service Technician Is on jobsites. Ensure all service work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety. Maintain accurate and detailed service records, including part usage and job performance.

Participate in regular safety briefings and uphold a strong safety culture at all times. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements Education and Work Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent; specialized training in wind turbine technology or related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related field.
