** Job Summary
** Dallas College was awarded the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) – AI‐Enabled Teaching & Learning Initiative, a four‐year transformational grant designed to build a sustainable, scalable model for integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into teaching, learning, curriculum redesign, and workforce alignment.
** This is a grant****‐funded position with funding through December 31, 2029.
** As one of the largest community colleges in Texas and a majority‐minority institution, Dallas College is uniquely positioned to lead large‐scale adoption of responsible, ethical, and effective AI‐enhanced instructional innovation. The Project Director will serve as the operational lead responsible for delivering all grant milestones, coordinating with internal and external partners, and ensuring long‐term sustainability of AI‐enabled teaching and learning systems.
The Project Director reports to the Dean of the Academic Incubator and:
* Leads an institution‐wide, multi‐stakeholder initiative involving faculty, academic leaders, Workcred (subawardee), employer partners, and instructional support teams.
* Directly manages project personnel and coordinates cross‐functional teams to meet all FIPSE grant milestones.
* Ensures that all activities align with Dallas College’s strategic goals for innovation, equity, and student success.##
** Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
** Required Qualifications for Role (necessary or mandatory)
* Ability to design, implement, and scale educational programs that support sustainable institutional growth.
* Demonstrated expertise in technological applications in education, including instructional uses, AI literacy development, AI ethics, and workforce‐aligned AI competencies.
* Knowledge of strategic planning, change management, and continuous improvement models.
* Ability to identify and address opportunities, risks, and operational challenges that arise during multi‐year grant initiatives.
* Knowledge of federal grant regulations, compliance, reporting requirements, and documentation standards.
* Ability to interpret and deploy data‐informed, results‐oriented strategies, leveraging predictive analytics, institutional data, AI tool analytics, and employer‐validated competency frameworks.
* Experience working with external partners, including employers, educational organizations, community partners, and technical vendors.
* Experience working with instructional designers, faculty developers, and academic leadership to redesign courses, integrate technology, and pilot innovations.
* Experience working with federal grants and/or large, complex academic innovation initiatives.

* Knowledge of micro-credential frameworks, competency‐mapping, and industry validation processes (preferred).
* Strong skills in communication, relationship‐building, facilitation, process-improvement, project management, and conflict resolution.##

** Minimum Requirements
*** Bachelor’s degree required
* Three (3) years of experience managing new and rapidly evolving initiatives, including experience in project planning, team building, process improvement, and data-driven decision making.
* Three (3) years of progressive responsibility in educational, technological, or workforce development leadership roles.
* Three (3) years of experience cultivating and managing partnerships with employers, institutions, or external organizations.
