Department SummaryThe Academic Summer Bridge program promotes college‑readiness for students admitted to the University who can obtain course credit before the Fall starts.
Position OverviewThe Faculty Program Manager will administer the Academic Summer Bridge program under the supervision of the Office of the Provost. This employee will hold the rank of Lecturer, teach as part of the Summer Bridge program during the summer, and teach in the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Rhetoric during the fall and spring semesters.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in English or a closely related field from a regionally accredited university
- Extensive experience teaching in developmental education
- Evidence of excellence in teaching
- Documented experience in planning and organizing student programs
- Effective written, verbal, and team‑building communication skills
- Ph.D. in English or a closely related field from a regionally accredited university
- Experience with academic summer bridge programs
- Experience in curriculum and faculty development
- Experience working with a culturally diverse population
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday‑Friday
