Summary

The Training Consultant II provides educational expertise to systematically assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training initiatives for all levels of staff at Children's Health. Responsibilities include assigned project work, staff onboarding, as well as identifying and closing knowledge and skills gaps for staff. The Training Consultant II will deliver training and adapt the curriculum and delivery methods to fit adult learner needs.

This position will also ensure learning outcomes by checking for understanding and skills acquisition.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver training using various learning methodologies and facilitation best practices (i.e., deliver feedback in a constructive manner that encourages self-discovery and continued learning; create a positive learning climate in which participants feel safe to try new skills; establish credibility by demonstrating familiarity with course content).
  • Lead or support Instructional Design Consultants and subject matter experts on standard and some high-profile training and continuing education initiatives for Children's employees and physicians.
  • Apply consulting best practices and the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) to create educational solutions for assigned projects, onboarding, as well as identified knowledge and skills gaps.
  • Monitor industry changes and content updates; revise training programs to incorporate changes.
  • Manage the physical learning environment (e.g., Learning Management System enrollment/scheduling, room logistics, and selecting equipment conducive to optimal learning).
Work Experience How You'll Be Successful:
  • At least 3 years Experience in education, training, performance improvement Required
EDUCATION
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Epic System Application Principle Trainer Certification, Epic System Application Curriculum Certification or Accreditation; equivalent:
    Preferred
  • Epic Training Environment Build Certification or Accreditation Preferred
