Department SummaryThe University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) School of Business invites applications for a Lecturer of Business - Business Analytics position starting in Fall 2026. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and service, and to assist in further development of the UNT-Dallas Business Analytics program. Individuals with specific interests and experience in information systems, data science, and decision science are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position OverviewThe School of Business at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) invites applications for a one semester appointment as a Lecturer of Business - Business Analytics for Fall 2026. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and service.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in business.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
- Experience with online and/or hybrid teaching formats.
- Evidence of ability to contribute to the positive culture of our school, university, and community.
Skills and Abilities
This position is responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in service activities, including program development, course development, program assessment, and committee leadership. Additionally, the successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate business analytics courses, including but not limited to Basic Information Systems, Business Computer Applications, Database Applications, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics Programming.
Preferred Qualifications- A doctoral degree in business analytics, decision science, data science, information systems, or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school.
- Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty.
- Experience in developing both face-to-face and online courses.
- Experience in curriculum development and program assessment.
