College and Career Coordinator

We are seeking a College & Career Coordinator to join our Family Hope Center. The Coordinator will serve a strategic role in supporting the College and Career program, ensuring alignment with Buckner’s mission, vision and values. The Coordinator will develop, implement, and support a holistic program for youth and families.
What you’ll do- Collaborate with FHC Directors/Managers and Teen Coordinators to design, develop, and support the implementation of a holistic College and Career program.
- Develop a curriculum with program components, best practices, tools, and resources to address youth development in areas such as job and life skills, career exploration, college exploration, leadership, communication, character development, goal setting, and educational success. Ensure the curriculum is culturally competent for youth and compliant with Buckner standards.
- Provide support for local Family Hope Centers to meet strategic goals and processes that ensure best practices, continuity, and alignment with grant requirements related to the College and Career program.
- Manage and coordinate reporting for College & Career sites, keeping updates timely, compliance maintained, and reports available.
- Work alongside Teen Coordinators as they implement the program; provide training and support to maintain program quality and compliance.
- Lead data collection and measurement; collaborate with Program Development & Design to develop a tool to monitor and track progress of enrolled youth.
- Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to identify internship and career exploration opportunities.
- Establish college collaborations, coordinate seminars, workshops, college tours, and identify potential financial aid and scholarship opportunities for participants.
- Attend community outreach and school events, parent conferences, and other approved events as needed.
- Develop and implement systems for family engagement; support Teen Coordinators in engaging parents, providing information sessions, and coordinating regular events.
- Collaborate with Teen Coordinators to develop opportunities for aptitude testing preparation, ACT and SAT testing.
- Assist program participants with accessing college and career readiness resources, including enrollments, travel to testing sites, and related services.
- Understand budget requirements and practice sound financial management following Buckner policy and procedures. Assist in developing and monitoring the program budget, tracking revenue and expenditures, and reporting to the Director.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, business or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience working with children and families.
- Proficient spoken, written, and read English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to develop, implement, and deliver curriculum‑based training.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement consistent classroom management techniques.
- Working knowledge of budgetary management and development of policies and procedures.
- Willingness to complete CPR, First Aid, and specialized activity training.
- Ability to drive an assigned or personal vehicle, with appropriate license and proof of liability insurance; 21+ years of age to drive on behalf of Buckner.
- Capacity for physical duties: able to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds continuously; walk, stand, sit for prolonged periods.
