Department SummaryThe School of Human Services at UNT Dallas offers three undergraduate degree programs.
- The Bachelor’s degree in Public Health.
- The Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Management, and Leadership (HSML).
- The Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies (CDFS).
These programs prepare students for work in the public health, nonprofit leadership and social service sectors. We offer both professional and academic certificates.
Position OverviewThe University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor to teach in the Department of Public Health. UNT Dallas – the first four‑year public institution of higher education in the city – seeks an individual who will help shape the character of a 21st century, teaching‑focused university. - A Master’s degree in Public Health with outstanding experience in teaching Public Health courses, OR
- Master’s degree in another health professions field with at least 18 graduate hours in Public Health
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in online/hybrid instruction.
- Proven teaching excellence in undergraduate instruction.

Job Duties:

Course Planning & Instruction: Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction for undergraduate Public Health courses, including but not limited to:
- Introduction to Public Health
- Program Planning and Evaluation
- Health Promotion
- Health Policy
- Epidemiology
- Assessment:
Design and evaluate teaching objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH, PhD) with significant outstanding teaching experience.
