The outstanding nuclear medicine service of the Veterans Affairs (VA) North Texas Health Care System (Dallas, Texas) seeks an attending Nuclear Medicine Physician. The Dallas VA is a progressive healthcare provider in the heart of North Texas that covers 38 counties in Texas and two in southern Oklahoma. Accredited by The Joint Commission, this 1A complexity level campus is the second largest VA healthcare system in the country, serving more than 136,000 Veterans with 1.6 million outpatient episodes of care in the most recent fiscal year.

The opportunity allows you to care for Veterans fulfilling the Veterans Health Affairs mission of clinical care excellence, teaching, and research, as well as response to federal emergencies. This comprehensive Nuclear Medicine Service supports a subspecialty multidisciplinary care model with locations in Dallas and Fort Worth, as well as Mobile PET Imaging services throughout the region. The main campus at the Dallas VA Medical Center serves as the hub for Systemic Radionuclide Therapies, includes a large Nuclear Cardiac Stress Testing Lab, and fields an install base of multiple SPECT/CT and PET/CT units.
Responsibilities encompass clinical and operational oversight of Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Bone Densitometry, PET, and/or Nuclear Medicine Therapies. The role is clinically focused on the potential opportunity for academic and/or administrative involvement.
- American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) certified
- Additional experience or training in hybrid imaging
- Certification in Nuclear Cardiology
- Experience in Stress Lab management
- Experience teaching Nuclear Medicine Residents/Fellows/Technologists
- Experience in Theranostics
