Academic Clinician Psychiatry Emergency Services

The Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting an outstanding Psychiatrist to serve as a faculty psychiatrist in our very busy Psychiatric Emergency Service located in a large affiliated county hospital. This position includes both direct patient care and teaching/supervision of psychiatry, psychology, allied health and other trainees. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.

Candidates must be BC/BE in General Psychiatry. Interest in pursuing an academic career, working with quality improvement projects, and community psychiatry would be considered as positive attributes. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas Medical license. Residency/Fellowship training in Emergency Psychiatry is ideal but not required. Academic experience and strong track record of clinical teaching is preferred.
