Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking an experienced, solutions‑oriented BIM Technician who brings far more to the table than drafting support or red‑line cleanup. In our firm, BIM is an integral part of design decision‑making. Our BIM team members are true partners to our engineers, contributing technical expertise, standard methods, and design‑smart judgment to every project.

If you are looking to apply your BIM skills to real building design challenges—and not simply turn markups into models—this opportunity is for you.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate as a design partner with architects and engineers to translate design intent into accurate, coordinated BIM models.
  • Apply standard building system solutions and help select appropriate modeling strategies based on project type, complexity, and phase.
  • Develop and maintain intelligent, parametric families/objects that support both design and documentation.
  • Produce clear and accurate plans, sections, details, and 3D views that reflect understanding, not just instruction.
  • Support clash detection, coordination meetings, and issue tracking, helping drive resolutions—not just documenting them.
  • Uphold and improve BIM standards, workflows, templates, and quality-control procedures.
  • Mentor less‑experienced team members and contribute to a culture of shared technical expertise.
What We’re NOT Looking For

We want to be transparent:

This role is not for someone whose experience has been limited to:

  • Only drafting or tracing over others’ markups
  • Following step‑by‑step directions without independent judgment
  • Producing models without understanding the underlying building systems

If your past experience involved little to no design thinking, that is typically equivalent to a recent graduate within our workflow—this role requires more.

What You Bring
  • 5–7+ years of meaningful BIM experience in architecture, engineering, or construction (quality matters more than quantity).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret design intent and contribute proactively to design solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Revit (core requirement)
  • Bluebeam (core requirement)
  • Familiarity with common building systems, assemblies, and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and effectively communicate with project teams.
  • A continuous‑improvement mindset—curious, thoughtful, and eager to contribute beyond task‑based work.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • You’ll be treated as a technical partner, not production labor.
  • You’ll work with a team that values expertise, creativity, and autonomy.
  • You’ll have opportunities to influence BIM standards, workflows, and project strategies.
  • You’ll help shape a team where experience truly matters.
