This Opportunity

WSP is seeking an experienced Bridge CAD Designer for its Dallas office to work with the Bridge Team on transportation and infrastructure structural design projects across Texas. The role involves using Bentley Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Modeler, Project Wise, and other software tools to produce reports, presentation graphics, and engineering contract documents. Tasks include developing technical CADD details of increasing complexity, generating design phase deliverables such as plans, profiles, sections, 3D models, and quantities, all while ensuring adherence to WSP and industry quality standards.

  • Proficient hands‑on experience in 2D and 3D CADD software with adaptability to evolving software tools.
  • Ability to interpret plans, design sketches, and drawings.
  • Capability to develop details with minimal verbal direction from mark‑ups and sketches.
  • Experience with TxDOT Detailing Guide and Bridge Standards.
  • Competence in executing tasks and producing contract documents within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Helping and troubleshooting support for CADD software to office staff.
  • Compliance with WSP USA Quality Assurance Policies, CADD protocol, client standards, and ethical decision‑making aligned with WSP’s Code of Conduct.
  • Flexibility to assume additional responsibilities as business needs arise.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma.
  • Experience:

    Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Bentley software and experience with Digital Delivery.
  • Knowledge of TxDOT Bridge Detailing Guide, TxDOT Bridge Standards, and related design support principles and processes.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a cooperative attitude and professional expression of ideas.
  • Self‑leadership, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and capacity to follow supervisory instructions.
  • Proficiency with software, technology, spreadsheets, and tools.
  • Adherence to workplace safety, health, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
  • Willingness to occasionally extend work hours to meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Essential professional licensure/certification.
