Job Description
Hoefer Wysocki Architecture is seeking a Senior Architect with 10+ years of experience to manage, design, and deliver successful building projects. The role involves leading projects from schematic design through construction, reviewing shop drawings, coordinating consultants, and ensuring projects meet office standards and client expectations.
Essential Responsibilities- Work closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans.
- Support, direct, and mentor staff within a collaborative environment, prioritizing company goals over personal agendas.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and owners in an integrated project delivery process across all phases.
- Focus on client satisfaction and promote future project opportunities.
- Coordinate and monitor project personnel activities to achieve project requirements.
- Maintain awareness of scope, schedule, budget, and status of all assigned projects.
- Develop client confidence through professionalism, accountability, and performance.
- Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts, and prepare detailed design and construction documents.
- Perform preliminary field surveys and develop draft preliminary plans.
- Assist in developing statements of probable cost.
- Present plans and documents to governing and permitting authorities.
- Observe construction progress and advise contractors on plan interpretation.
- Prepare material, write construction specifications, and produce detailed construction documents.
- Initiate and adhere to a quality assurance program throughout the project life cycle.
- Serve as an SME on specialized systems and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects.
- Liaise with project management, architects, and consultants.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent. 10+ years of architectural practice as a project architect on technical projects is required.
- Architectural registration required with current license.
- NCARB registration desired and LEED Green Associate Accreditation desired.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment.
Candidate must be proficient in Revit, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office. Deltek Vantagepoint and Tonic
DM knowledge preferred. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and meet deadlines. The job requires detail orientation and the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
