The Position
  • The Director of Infection Prevention is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the Infection Prevention Program for the Dallas market, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, patient safety, and consistent application of evidence-based infection prevention practices across all inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Reporting to the Vice President of Nursing Operations, this leader will manage a team of six direct reports.
  • This leader will strengthen Infection Prevention operations by ensuring consistent adherence to industry best practices, maintaining robust oversight of high-risk infection detection workflows, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Ideal candidates will be experienced Infection Prevention leaders with a proven ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively across disciplines, and advocate for team needs. The successful candidate will balance strategic operational oversight with effective leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
  • Active participation at the national level with APIC, CHA, or related professional associations is required.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in Infection Prevention required; a nursing background is preferred but not required.
