Key Responsibilities

  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care:
    Perform a range of dental hygiene procedures, including cleanings, scaling, root planing (SRP), and adjunctive treatments as needed.
  • Patient

    Education:

    Educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, including brushing, flossing, plaque control, nutrition, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Team:
    Work closely with the dentist and other team members to assess patient needs and ensure they receive the best care possible. Assist with the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Patient Comfort & Communication:
    Ensure that patients are comfortable throughout their appointments and address any concerns they may have. Build strong relationships with patients and encourage good oral hygiene habits.
  • Maintain Clinical Documentation:
    Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all treatments, procedures, and patient interactions.
  • Infection Control & Safety:
    Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Manage Patient Flow:
    Effectively manage a productive schedule of 8-12 patients per day, ensuring high-quality care while maintaining efficiency.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure: A degree or certificate in dental hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state dental hygiene license.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in dental hygiene is preferred, but newly graduated hygienists are encouraged to apply.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a service-oriented, compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Professionalism & Commitment: A strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of care, lifelong learning, and staying current with best practices in dental hygiene.
