Position Overview

Transdev DART in Dallas, Texas is hiring a Dispatcher who oversees road service through communication with operators and provides customer support to clients. We seek customer‑service oriented professionals dedicated to safety.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour. Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee road service and trip performance measures (route start, on‑time performance, incidents)
  • Respond to customer and driver inquiries about no‑shows, cancellations, and missed trips
  • Manage vehicle operator emergency situations and escalated calls
  • Maintain department reports and communication tools
  • Support employees and drivers with internal and external requests
  • Assist Dispatch Manager with problem resolution and requests
  • Prioritize calls or window flow based on importance and urgency
  • Maintain contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions
  • Learn all dispatch functions, including radio and window
  • Adhere to all Transdev SOPs for the role
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate with intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical (if applicable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
  • Other duties as required
Physical Requirements
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); walk long distances, including on sloped or uneven surfaces
  • Push/pull objects up to 50 lbs.; lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; bend, kneel, or crouch as needed
  • Withstand heavy traffic environments; tolerate dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
  • Conduct oral and written presentations on behalf of the organization
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
