Job Overview
The Deloitte University production team designs, produces, and executes sophisticated, broadcast‑quality live events, seamlessly integrating cutting‑edge audio, video, and lighting technologies with immersive storytelling. As an experienced Audio Lead you will architect audio excellence, mix live events, lead junior staff, and drive technical innovation without extensive travel.
Responsibilities- Serve as lead mixing engineer for main event programming; oversee configuration, calibration, and live mix for multiple concurrent events.
- Partner with production and technical leadership to define detailed audio requirements, select equipment, and execute setups tailored to each show.
- Conduct pre‑event technical rehearsals, run‑throughs with speakers, presenters, and technical staff.
- Maintain inventory, operational readiness, and upgrade audio equipment (wireless mics, mixing consoles, recording devices, etc.).
- Conduct pre‑show testing, manage live cues, and resolve audio issues during rehearsals and events.
- Oversee setup, testing, operation, and strike of all audio resources.
- Drive equipment upgrades, new technology pilots, and best practice sharing across the Audio Department.
- Document standards, lessons learned, and contribute to post‑event reviews.
- Direct, mentor, and train all junior Audio team members; build a collaborative, growth‑oriented culture.
- 4–8 years of hands‑on experience in live, hybrid, or broadcast event production (corporate, agency, educational, or entertainment sector).
- Proficiency with large format mixing consoles, wireless equipment, audio networking, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven experience supporting executive‑level or high‑visibility events.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and calm under pressure.
- Strong communicator and team collaborator; able to give and receive direction effectively.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Audio/Visual Production, Media Technology, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Must be local to Dallas, TX and this role will require availability and delivery that aligns to the program schedule across a 7‑day week (some weekends included based on business needs).
