As an experienced Audio Lead you will architect audio excellence, mix live events, lead junior staff, and drive technical innovation without extensive travel.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as lead mixing engineer for main event programming; oversee configuration, calibration, and live mix for multiple concurrent events.
  • Partner with production and technical leadership to define detailed audio requirements, select equipment, and execute setups tailored to each show.
  • Conduct pre‑event technical rehearsals, run‑throughs with speakers, presenters, and technical staff.
  • Maintain inventory, operational readiness, and upgrade audio equipment (wireless mics, mixing consoles, recording devices, etc.).
  • Conduct pre‑show testing, manage live cues, and resolve audio issues during rehearsals and events.
  • Oversee setup, testing, operation, and strike of all audio resources.
  • Drive equipment upgrades, new technology pilots, and best practice sharing across the Audio Department.
  • Document standards, lessons learned, and contribute to post‑event reviews.
  • Direct, mentor, and train all junior Audio team members; build a collaborative, growth‑oriented culture.
Qualifications
  • 4–8 years of hands‑on experience in live, hybrid, or broadcast event production (corporate, agency, educational, or entertainment sector).
  • Proficiency with large format mixing consoles, wireless equipment, audio networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven experience supporting executive‑level or high‑visibility events.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and calm under pressure.
  • Strong communicator and team collaborator; able to give and receive direction effectively.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Audio/Visual Production, Media Technology, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Must be local to Dallas, TX and this role will require availability and delivery that aligns to the program schedule across a 7‑day week (some weekends included based on business needs).
